Why are vitamins, minerals and herbals important in this day and age? You would think that with all of our technology we would have the highest nutritional content in our foods. Well, if that were truly the case, why is more than half the country overweight, why is cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, colon cancer and arthritis so prevalent? As it turns out we live in a fast paced world and we often, most often, do not take the time to prepare balanced meals. We eat fast-food and prepare what is easy...pre-packaged, frozen, microwave friendly products. Most of these are high in fat (tastes better), sugar (tastes better), low in fiber (tastes better) and high in calories (fills you up). Most of the products are highly processed and low in balanced nutritional content. Therefore, we must, out of necessity, counterbalance this lifestyle with supplements.

In the past (last 20 years) most medical doctors would tell you that you don't need vitamins and minerals. All you had to do was eat a normal(?) diet. That was because they did not learn nutrition in medical school and knew no better. Now, miraculously they have discovered the benefits and absolute requirement for vitamins and minerals. Do you know of any M.D. that does not counsel their post-menopausal patients about the need to take calcium to keep their bones strong or the over 40 year old to eat more fiber? Probably not. However, they still lag far behind alternative/complementary health care providers (chiropractors) in the full utilization of these compounds.

When you need recommendations about nutrition come to us. We only stock professional brand supplements. This assures you of the highest quality product. Not massed produced with questionable content.

Cervical pillows are important for both the patient with neck problems and the population in general. Most of us sleep on pillows that do not provide adequate support of the cervical spine. Either, they are too soft causing the neck to curve downwards or we use too many and the spine curves upward. In either case undo stress is placed upon the supporting structures of the spine. This leads to neck and shoulder/upper back strain, headaches and less than restful sleep.
Key Benefits:
  • Properly support the spine during sleep
  • Allows for the restoration of normal spinal joint function

Pricing:

Prices vary by brand and size of pillow. Generally, a range of $25-$50 is standard. While this may sound expensive, remember that it is a small price to pay if it helps prevent problems. We have "loaner" pillows that allow people to try them out before purchasing. Ask us about this program.

Braces (Orthopedic Supports):

We carry a large variety of orthopedic supports. From cervical collars for whiplash injuries to tennis elbow straps, carpal tunnel supports, knee braces to custom made foot orthotics. All are professionally supplied to assure you of proper fit.
